This project involved branding a sci-fi-themed brewery called Mothership Beer Works. I focused on creating a tongue-in-cheek feel with the graphics, creating a unique look for the brand, and appealing to a younger demographic aged 21-25.

For visual interest, each beer label was designed to look distressed to create the texture of colored paper. I also wanted the typography to interact with the characters. Bold colors were also used to attract the viewer’s eye.

For the logo, I designed a UFO beaming up hops and used the typeface Caroni to make it seem like the wordmark was hand-drawn. There’s also a bottle cap behind the UFO, which brings it forward and unifies
the logomark.

The billboard is for brewer’s red ale beer Red Shirt Red Ale. The main focus was on the product itself. The can was placed behind the graphic to give the impression that it was being zapped, like the character on the can.
